June 2011: Advised by Gilbert Evans, Altimus, the independent British outdoor clothing and equipment retailer, has agreed terms to open a 5,820 sq ft store at 138 Kensington High Street, London W8. Terms have been agreed on a new 10 year lease at an average base rent of £315,000 pax plus turnover top up.
Currently trading online and from a store at St. Marys Butt in Reading, Berkshire, the decision to open a store in central London and go head to head with more established high street brands including Ellis Brigham and Snow & Rock demonstrates Altimus’ confidence in rolling out its offer to a wider central London shopper audience.
