August 2012: Nottingham-based QD Stores has recently acquired the Roman Way garden centre located at Milton Keynes. Located on a freehold 7-acre site, the centre was sold with planning consent to almost double the existing 15,000 sq ft of sales space.
Mike Gilbert of Gilbert Evans, who advised on the deal, comments:
“QD Stores has made no secret of its desire to expand. It’s a logical fit within the QD network and the centre will suit them well.”
The garden centre is believed to have a turnover in the region of £900,000.
