December 2012: Gilbert Evans, the specialist garden centre property consultants, has been instructed by the administrators to handle the sale of Whiteleys Garden Centre near Huddersfield.
“The garden centre has already attracted a lot of interest and we have over 20 NDAs signed.” commented partner Mike Gilbert. “This is a good centre with a quality infrastructure that will appeal to both independent and multiple operators”.
The garden centre is freehold and has a turnover of some £2m. Turnover throughout November and December has held up well, in line with the sector generally.
Offers are due to be submitted by close of business on Friday 14th December with the intention of completing a sale as soon as possible thereafter.
